Alejandro Canales & Victor Campbell*Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring Alejandro Canales & Victor CampbellAlejandro Canales is a Texas-born saxophonist who grew up near Denver and has built a versatile international career in jazz and contemporary music. He has toured worldwide with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, performing in production shows and backing artists across Motown, R&B, classical, and rock styles while doubling on flute and clarinet. Canales has performed with the Reno Jazz Orchestra, Soul Brass Band, the Treme Brass Band, and Trombone Shorty, and released his debut album, Bluish Hue, as a bandleader. An active performer and educator, he continues to appear with projects spanning jazz, Latin, funk, and modern improvisation.Victor Campbell is a New Orleans based Cuban jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader from Camagey, Cuba, whose electrifying playing blends Afro-Cuban rhythms, New Orleans jazz, classical music, and modern improvisation. A prodigious talent who began playing piano at age five, Campbell trained at Cubas prestigious National School of the Arts before launching an international performing career. Since relocating to New Orleans in 2019, he has quickly become one of the citys most exciting musicians, celebrated for his virtuosity, charisma, and fearless musical imagination. Legendary Cuban pianist Chucho Valds once predicted that Campbell would revolutionize Cuban jazz piano.Campbell has performed throughout the United States and internationally, collaborating with acclaimed artists including Yusa, Delfeayo Marsalis ransson. Deeply influenced by both Cuban and New Orleans musical traditions, Campbell continues to build a unique sound that moves effortlessly between and beyond genres.The two join forces for a very special happy hour performance.Doors: 4 pm Show: 4:30 - 6 pmRestaurant is Open 5pm - 10pm for dinner after showtimeSnug Harbor Jazz Bistro presents live weekly concerts. You can see these shows every Saturday in person or by streaming on the Snug Harbor Facebook page. This is a free performance with no ticketing. Seating is on a first come-first served basis. Tips for the band are encouraged and go 100% to the musicians.
