Over the past 40 years, the Turtle Island Quartet has been an inimitable force in the creation of bold, new trends in chamber music for strings. The two time Grammy winners have gained notice for fusing the classical quartet aesthetic with contemporary American musical styles, devising a performance practice that honors both.
