From The Beatles, The Hollies and Simon and Garfunkel to Nick Lowe, Tom Petty, and The Cactus Blossoms, Phil and Don Everly showed the way with their heavenly harmonies, song writing, and style.True rock n roll pioneers, The Everly Brothers bridged the gap between country and R&B. Their career endured over half a century. During this time they recorded 21 studio albums, sold more than 60 million records worldwide, and had over 30 billboard top -100 singles.Those recordings were the only way for Jon Wink and Jesse Mcnamara (the Phil and Don of Lightning Express), to experience the magic of The Everly Brothers until Don and Phil decided to perform together again in 1983 after a decade long break. Soon ader their historic reunion concert at The Royal Albert Hall in London, the brothers made their way to The Palace Theater in Columbus, Ohio. Jon was in the front row for that show. Hearing Don and Phil live, backed by a killer band, was a revelation.
