Join TOArts Artist Incubator fellow Tamara Nowlin for Words Under One Sky, a pre-show interactive creative writing experience before National Geographic Explorer Babak Tafreshi?s presentation on The World at Night. Tafreshi?s work merges art and science to reveal the night as a space of beauty, reflection, and shared perspective. This program extends those themes by inviting audiences to engage creatively with the sensory and emotional dimensions of darkness, light, and sky. Through guided prompts, individual writing, and optional sharing, participants explore themes of wonder, memory, belonging, and connection shaped by the experience of night. The program welcomes a range of expression, from short journaling reflections to lyrical writing, and is designed to be accessible to audiences regardless of prior writing experience. By framing writing as a way of noticing, the experience reinforces Tafreshi?s message that people connect in the simple act of looking up.
