Davisito Navarro's Birthday Party & Album ReleaseCelebrate Cuban jazz, New Orleans groove, and the release of Davisito Navarro's debut album with a special birthday concert at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro. The CubaNOLA Arts Collective alongside NOLAxNOLA present two stellar performances and an afterparty. A rising star of the next generation of Cuban jazz musicians, Davisito Navarro has performed with leading artists in Cuban music and salsa, including Emilio Morales, Bellita y su Jazztumbatá, El Niño y la Verdad, and José Alberto , "rdquo" -> El Canario." Since moving to New Orleans in 2023, he has become a familiar presence on the city's music scene, performing with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Charlie and the Tropicales, Mariachi Jalisco, Alexey Marti & AfroGumbo, and Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra. Yissy Garcia is one of Cuba's most exciting and innovative percussionists. Blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz, funk, R&B, and electronica, she has shared the stage with artists including Dave Matthews, Esperanza Spalding, Allison Russell, Concha Buika, and Joshua Bell. Her performances have been featured at NPR's Tiny Desk, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, SXSW, and other major stages around the country. The evening also celebrates the release of Davisito + El Negro: Live from New Orleans, recorded live, right here at Snug Harbor on September 27, 2026. The album features 10 songs---including five original compositions and fresh interpretations of Cuban and New Orleans classics. After Party begins 11:30 PM with DJ Santero - We'll be celebrating Davisito's birthday after the show with an Afro-Cuban After Party with world renowned DJ Santero.
