L'Inferno (1911)

Dante, guided by the poet Virgil, travels down through Hell's nine circles, past sinners punished according to their sin. Adapted from Dante's depictions of Hell, the Italian film is widely considered the first Italian feature film, now returning to the screen 115 years after its release.
